John Dawson, 73, of Sweet Home died Tuesday. He was born to Clarence and Minnie (Fahrion) Dawson in Yakima, Washington.
John fought in Korea during the Korean War.
He enjoyed hunting elk and salmon fishing.
John is survived by wife, Carolyn Dawson of Sweet Home; sons, Jim and Tim Woods both of Bakersfield, CA; sisters, Dona Butler of Grand Junction, CO, Nancey Bryant of Mason, WA, and Audrey Lunnigan of Coke Hill; nine step-children; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife, Patricia; both parents; seven sisters and two brothers.
A memorial service will be Sunday, March 18, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the VFW in Sweet Home. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel will be handling the arrangements. |
