Florence “Helen” Robinett, 84, of Lebanon died Tuesday. She was born to Milton and Vivian (Robinett) Farley in Corvallis.
Through the course of her life she lived in Nevada, Alaska, California, Oregon, and numerous places throughout the northwest. Helen was one of the first women in Oregon with a chauffeur's license. She drove transport for the Morgan Trucking Co. She also worked with her husband in construction and hauled dynamite.
Helen enjoyed caring for her animals and mining.
She is survived by six siblings; long-time friend, Fred Monroe, and numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy, and husband, “Big Jim,” and four siblings.
No services are planned at this time. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel will be handling the arrangements. |
