Edith Mae Grenz, age 51, of Lebanon, died Monday. She was born in Benton, Arkansas to Earl L. and Dulcie M. (Jackson) Nicholson.
Edith came to Oregon as a youth with her family and attended Sweet Home schools, graduating from Sweet Home High School in 1974. Edith married Jeff Grenz June 26, 2004, and they lived in Lebanon.
Edith worked as a special education assistant at Hawthorne Elementary and worked in the Sweet Home School District for 20 years. She loved music and attended the Oregon Jamboree. She loved crafts, decorating, garage selling, flowers, and gardening. She also enjoyed fishing and camping.
Edith was involved with Gleaners and after school programs at Foster School.
Edith is survived by her husband, Jeff Grenz; daughter, Karee Brown; and sister, Lynn Duncan; all of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Dulcie Nicholson, and a brother, Carlos Nicholson.
Viewing will be 4 pm to 7 pm Thursday, September 20, at the Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Memorial service will be Saturday, September 22, at First Baptist Church in Sweet Home at 11 am. Memorial contributions can be made to the HOPE Center in Sweet Home. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. |
