Elizabeth Maudie West, age 84, of Albany, passed away Sunday. She was born in Reno, Texas to Robert Lowery and Lottie Ann (Rivers) West.
Elizabeth married Frank West and moved to Brownsville, Oregon. Frank passed away, and she moved to Corvallis and lived there until one and a half years ago, when she moved to Regency in Albany.
She and Frank traveled and really enjoyed markets. She always had a quick wit was good at making people comfortable. Elizabeth took care of those that couldn’t take care of themselves and was loved for her caring and helpful nature. She stayed independent until the end.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Ann Williams, and her husband, Roger, of Modesto, California; grandchildren, Tracy and Timmy, both of Modesto, California; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank West; an infant child; her step-son; and five brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will take place 11:00 am Friday, October 19, at Gilliland Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements |
