Ricky Dean Hurse, age 53, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday, November 17th. He was born in Lebanon to Rueben and Edith Louise (Sprague) Hurse.
Ricky grew up in the Liberty area of Sweet Home and was part Cherokee, but was un-enrolled. He worked as a body and fender expert for 20 years. Due to developing asthma, he had to retire from this work at age 40. In recent years he worked for Oregon Gold. |

Ricky enjoyed auto mechanics, rock hunting, hunting, and fishing. He loved the woods, mountains, and rivers. Picking mushrooms was a much enjoyed recreation.
He is survived by his mate, Carol Robertson, of Sweet Home; cousins, Michael Hurse of Naselle, Washington, Joe and Lori Hurse of Longview, Washington, Steve Hurse of Naselle, Washington, Toni Hambettor of Baker City, Oregon, Helen Alexander of Long Beach, Washington, and Jerry Shipman of North Plain.
Ricky was preceded in death by both of his parents and brothers, Bobby Hurse and Kenneth C. Hurse. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. |
