Elizabeth “Liz” Anne Haber, age 90, of Brownsville died Saturday in Alaska. She was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania to Michael and Anne (Demko) Chismar. She grew up in Aliquippa, moved to El Monte, California in 1945, then to Brownsville in 1973.
She was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Sweet Home. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, yoga, and church.
Liz is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) Haber of Ninilchik, Alaska; sister, Virginia Brenton of Brownsville; brother, Eddie Chismar of Aliquippa, PA; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Haber, Sept. 17, 1988 and daughter, Charolette Anne Haber, Sept. 26, 2005.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at Finley Cemetery in Crawfordsville. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. |
