Beatta Edna Stevahn, age 82, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday. She was born in Leith, North Dakota to Reinhold and Ida (Martell) Stevahn.
She came to Oregon as a young woman and lived in Portland. She battled heart disease and later Alzheimer’s. Beatta came to Sweet Home in 2003 to be closer to family.
Beatta attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Sweet Home. She was very involved in her religion throughout her life. She was very talented at crochet and was a stay-at-home mom.
Beatta is survived by daughters, Linda Mulvanny of Sweet Home and Karen Grosnicoles of Gresham; brothers, Leo and Reiny Stevahn; sisters, Ruth Blanset, Ina Pekas, and Leona Amonn; ten grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by sons, Robert Elavsky and Curtis Cole, and two sisters.
