| Tristan Rodger Varner, age 9, of Sweet Home died on Saturday, August 2, 2008. Tristan was born on May 10, 1999 in Lebanon, Oregon. He lived most his life in the Linn County area and also lived in Portland. He recently attended the third grade at Foster Elementary in Sweet Home.
Tristan enjoyed his favorite guitar hero, Slash. He like spending time playing video games, swimming, and playing games. He was a past Jamboree volunteer with his aunt. He loved spending time with his baby sister and family.
Tristan is survived by his mother,Octavia Silvestrie; father, Jimmy Varner; aunt, uncle, and family, Vicki, Mark, Marcus, Phillip, Tiffini, and Emily DeLong; brothers, Andrew and Austin Silvestrie and Tyler Varner; sisters, Sierra, Tagen, and Camil Varner; grandmothers, Ruth Godinez and Bobbi Peebler; grandfather, James Varner; and many loving aunts, uncles, and extended family. |

A viewing will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5th, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 6th, at Community Chapel in Sweet Home. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
