| Bob Morris was born in Coquille, Oregon and was raised and educated in Lebanon. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific. He married Mary Grimes in Corvallis and, together, they raised their family in Sweet Home.
After Mary's passing, Bob married Betty Donovan May 18, 1975 and helped raise her children as his own.
Robert worked as a commercial fisherman and mill worker and drove a truck for the mills. Fishing, hunting, and fixing things were among his favorite hobbies. |

Bob is survived by his wife, Betty, and sons, David (Judy) Morris, Belle Forche, Bob Morris, Dan (Loretta) Donovan, and Bruce (Linda) Donovan; daughters, Susan (Bud) Steagall, Debbie (Jack) Ottree, and Laurie (Leonard) Deffenbaug, Debra (Rich) Creasey, Cheryl Donovan, Theresa (John ) Kallio, and Amber Morris; sister, Frances Stock; brother, Richard Morris; 45 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 7 great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; sons, Johnny Morris and Keith Donovan; sisters, Winnefred Robertson and Burnita Elliott; brothers, Bud, Earl, Bill, and Dean Morris; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
A viewing will be Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, at Riverside Christian Church with committal services to follow at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home, Oregon. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services. |
