| Robert Sylvester Ellis, age 66, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2008. He was born in Torrance, California to Sylvester and Sarah (Huffstutler) Ellis.
Robert was a resident of the Lebanon-Sweet Home area since 1972. He was liked and loved by everyone.
Robert loved CB radio. His handles were “Bob,” “Moose,” or “Curley.” He loved to fish at Foster, to watch NASCAR every Saturday and Sunday, the freedom of his motorcycle, and his wife, children, and grandkids.
Robert is survived by his wife, Alice; mother, Sarah Ellis; sons, Harold Ellis, Willis Huffstutler, and Bill Huffstutler; daughters, Bobbie Jackson and Sarah Branson; brothers, Michael and Carl Ellis; sisters, Jewel King, Sylvia Highsmith, and Shelia Clem; numerous other children adopted by him; poodles, Mindy and Maynard; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Sara Doane, brother, John "Jay" Ellis, and a great grandson.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 26, at Lewis Cemetery. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services.
