| Bruce Lacey, age 75, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his home. He was born in Glendale, California to Edgar Paul and Grace Harriet (Paulson) Lacey.
Bruce enlisted in the Army as a young man in 1949. He trained in military intelligence and photo interpretation. He enjoyed his time in the military serving in the National Guard, Korea, and Vietnam. His highest rank in the service was Sergeant.
In 1958, he separated from the military. He worked as a police officer in California.
Later in life, Bruce traveled to Oregon many times before settling in Sweet Home recently. Fishing, art work, and training horses were among his favorite hobbies. He loved the outdoors.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Lacey of Sweet Home; daughters, Brenda Joy Lacey of Wisconsin, Dana Lynn Scott of Texas, and Debra Lee Parkerson of Sweet Home; sons, Brent Darryl Lacey of Missouri, Bryon Dale Lacey of Sweet Home, and Bradly DeWayne Lacey of California; brother, John M. Lacey of Southern California; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister.
Private services will be held. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
