| Charles Theodore Sabisch, age 99, of Sweet Home died on Saturday at Twin Oaks Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Coleman, Michigan; the son of Paul and Mary (Rose) Sabisch.
He married Nellie Irene Coreman in 1934. He lived in Placentia, Orange Co., California from 1940 to 1981, and then he moved to Grand Ronde, Oregon. Eventually, he settled in Sweet Home, Oregon in 1984.
Nellie passed away in 1990. Charlie continued to live in Sweet Home and remarried.
Charlie pastored many small churches. He also worked as a farmer, lumberman, and apartment owner/manager. He loved music and sang in church and civic choirs. He enjoyed gardening.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Eula Mae Sabisch of Sweet Home; daughters, Vivian Rogers and husband Bud of Riverside, CA, and Norma Steiger and husband Don of Grand Junction, CO; sons, Aca C. Sabisch and wife Judy of Anaheim, CA, and Elmer D. Sabisch and wife Lupe of Phelan, CA; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and grandaughters, Deborah and Rebecca.
Viewing will be 10:00 a.m., to 2:00 p.m., on Friday, November 21, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., the same day at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery.
