Hope Ann Sanderson, age 54, of Albany passed away Friday. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon to Carmen Leader and Anita Amundson.
She lived in Sweet Home as a child and attended first grade at Hawthorne. She graduated from Corvallis High School, and then attended LBCC. She married in 1979 and worked at the Albany Democrat Herald, Linn Benton Housing Authority and Van Dahl publishing.
She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and wildflower identification. She liked crafts. She loved and valued all the members of her family and her pets.
Hope is survived by her husband, Tom Sanderson; mother, Anita Clifton; brother, Larry Clifton; sisters, Kelly Irons and Terrie Olson; and all those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carmen Leader, and step father, Bill Clifton.
Family and friends will gather for services.
Memorial contributions can be made in her name to Safehaven or Chintimini Wildlife Center in Corvallis.
