Mary Christine Nixon, age 80, of Crawfordsville passed away Monday. She was born in Knox City, Texas to Levi P. and Bryant Ada Woodall. She was the oldest of eight children.

Mary was a member of the Church of Christ since 1957. She was a kind generous and caring person. She took care of many family members. If they needed her, she was there for them. If someone needed a place to live, she gave it to them. If someone was hungry, she fed them. She spread the word of God to anyone that would listen. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We know she is with God.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse, whom she was married to for 63 years; her children, Jim, Ron, Karen, and Steve; sisters, Yvonne and Betty; brothers, Ken and Butch; and four grandchildren. 

Viewing will be from 10:00 am to noon, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009, also at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
