| Morris James "Jim" Crane, age 80, of Sweet Home passed away early Saturday, July 11, at his home. Jim was born May 15, 1929 in Billings, Montana — the son of James and Mary (Coughlin) Crane.
Jim worked for US West Telephone Co., in marketing, retiring after 27 years of service.
Jim moved to Oregon in 2003 from Lake Havasu, Arizona, settling in Sweet Home in July 2004.
Jim enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, boating and hunting. He also enjoyed cooking and watching most sports on television with his family and friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Irene; children: Tim, Dan, Connie, Tyler, J.J. Gordon, Janet, Gregory, and Cheryl; sister: Marlene Orham; 28 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; and special friend Larry Oldham. He is preceded in death by son, Tom, and brother-in-law, Swede Orham.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 17, 2009 at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
