| Genevieve Ethel Partridge, age 77, of Albany passed away Friday, July 17, 2009. She was born in Silverton, Oregon to Henry and Sylvia (Heintz) Shilts.
She grew up in the small town of Scotts Mills, Oregon attending grade school and Molalla High School there.
At the age of 16 on June 27, 1948, Genevieve married Milton Partridge in Scotts Mills. In 1949 their only child, Karin, was born. They later took in Lissea and Mary Logue as foster daughters. |

The family lived in many places, including Scotts Mills, Sweet Home, Salem, Idaho, and Hermiston while Milton worked in the military, on mill jobs and in a correctional facility. They eventually settled in Albany in 2006.
Genevieve loved the ocean, her many pets, and her family. She especially loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was always helping someone. Her grandchildren describe her as the true definition of unconditional love.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Milton, of Albany; her brother, Wayne Shilts, and his wife, Peggy, of Sweet Home; grandson, Sean McCallister, and his wife, Tracie, of Lakeview; granddaughter, Dawn Pjau, of O Fallon, Illinois; foster daughter, Lissea, and her husband, Jack Clapp, of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; great grandchildren, Justin and Erica McCallister of Lakeview and Kelsi Pfau of O Fallon; foster grandchildren, Jackie Clark and Edwin Clapp of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel Sunday, July 19, 2009 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
