| Lydia Emmaline Palmer, age 57, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. She was born in Salem, Oregon to John and Frances (Land) Sliman.
As a child, Lydia lived in the Alsea, Oregon coastal area. As a young adult, she moved with her family to Kent, Oregon. During that time, she met her husband, Stanley Palmer, and they were married July 15, 1972 in Saint John, Washington. They then moved to Soldotna, Alaska when Lydia was in her early 20s. In 1986, Stanley and Lydia moved to the Sweet Home area with their four children where they resided for the remainder of their lives.
She was a member of the Victory Faith Fellowship.
Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, canning, and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Stanton and Ethan Palmer, Autumn and Tony Lewis, and Jardena and Ian Scofield; grandchildren, Elisha, Isaiah, Shaniqa, Jesse, Joe, Samara, Christopher, Austin, Adhessa, Caden, Kaylynn, and Desiree; siblings, Joe, Saul, Luke, Rebecca, Sheilah, Laura, Sarah, Paul, and Randy; and mother, Frances Pauline Sliman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Palmer; brother, Hassein Sliman; and father, John Sliman.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, at Victory Faith Fellowship. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services.
