| Walter Sigerd Forsberg, age 93, of Sweet Home passed away Monday evening at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital.
Walter was born in Mayor, Oregon to Gus and Mary (Johnson) Forsberg.
He grew up in Clatskanie and moved to Sweet Home 65 years ago. He bought a farm and raised his family there. He worked at Wilamette Industires for 20 years. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
He loved the Lord and his church family. He enjoyed delivering food for the Gleaners.
His hobbies included gold mining, fishing and hunting, camping, site seeing, working on his farm, and taking care of his cattle. |

Walter is survived by three beautiful daughters, Mary McAdams of Sweet Home, Christy Davis of Salem, and Barbara Rector of Salem; son, Royce Forsberg of Sweet Home; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Forsberg; daughter, Kathy Forsberg; and siste, Olga Forsberg.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Sweet Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
