Ambrose Dean Sparhawk, Jr., age 60, of Sweet Home passed away early Monday morning at his home.  He was born to Ambrose Dean, Sr., and Lillith Irene (Morris) Sparhawk in Port Townsend, Washington.  

Ambrose served honorably in the Army from 1969 to 1971.  He then moved to Sweet Home and worked in the timber industry, as well as on cars in the body and fender business.

Ambrose was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and helped with the Food Pantry.  He enjoyed reading, hunting, and working on old cars.

Ambrose is survived by his wife, Doris (Johnson) of Sweet Home; sons, Roy (Angel) Sparhawk of Springcreek, NV and Gary (Tianna) Sparhawk of Sweet Home; daughter, Tonya (Greg) Tagen of Sweet Home; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Hanby of Sweet Home and Suzzy (Glen) Stone of Burlington, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father (1966); mother (1982); and sister, Betty Hinds (2005).

Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, at the Church of Christ on 18th and Long Street in Sweet Home.
