Glenn L. Convis, age 68, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center due to complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Platteville, Illinois to Glenn and Margaret (Jahneke) Convis.
He grew up in Illinois, and then moved to Oregon in 1995 to be with family.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes, fishing, and bowling. While practicing at Linn Lanes, he bowled a perfect 300 game. He belonged to two bowling leagues before his health forced him to quit bowling. He had a WII game, so he could continue bowling while sitting in his chair.
Glenn was survived by his sisters, Vernetta Day Gorham of Lebanon and Laretta Childers of Sweet Home, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, at Sweet Home Lanes. Family and friends are invited to stop by and have pizza and bowl a frame for Glenn. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services.
