Ruth Irene Dohn, age 75, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010. She was born in San Bernardino, California to Thomas and Deborah Karr.

Ruth lived in Redlands, California though high school. She married Gerald H. Dohn and became the wife of a United States Marine Corps Officer while her husband served from 1952 to 1960. They raised their family in Yucaipa, California.

Ruth loved baking and being a homemaker. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, card games, and playing Bingo at the vets club. She enjoyed camping and outdoor adventures with her family.

She is survived by her mother, Deborah Karr-McElwain of Sweet Home; children, Jerry Dohn of Lebanon, Sherry Reasons of Sweet Home, and Debra Paauwe of Sweet Home; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and brother, John Karr of Sweet Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dohn; father, Thomas Karr; and brother, Jim Karr.

Viewing will be 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, at Sweet Home Evangelical Church. Graveside service will follow at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, at Gilliland Cemetery.
