Morse William Hopper, age 90, of Cottage Grove passed away Monday. He was born in Pine Island, Minnesota to William Wesley and Verley (Gibson) Hopper.

He was a long-time resident of the Sweet Home and Liberty area. He worked for the city of Sweet Home doing all kinds of maintenance. Morse loved to go boating and skiing and he enjoyed playing cards.

Morse is survived by: his children, Ben Hopper of Valdez, Alaska, Morse T. Hopper of Springfield, Oregon, and Gloria Morgan of Aloha, Oregon; sisters, Mary Stillwell and Hazel Woods, both of Liberty; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Gladys Hopper; son, Glen Hopper; brother, Merritt Hopper; and sister, Florence Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 13, 2010 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweet Home.
