Sam J. Huff, 60, of Corvallis passed away at home after a nine-year battle with cancer. Sam was born in Lakeshore, Utah to Grant and Ruth (Johnson) Huff.
Sam was the youngest of four children: Myrna (deceased), Nancy Byington (husband Al), and Philip Huff (wife Joan Christensen).
Sam met Gwen Powell in Spanish Fork High School, and they were married in the Manti Utah Temple on November 15, 1968. Sam is the father of Vinson Huff (wife Sally Kempton), Matthew Huff (wife Amy Engle), and Spencer Huff. He is grandfather of eight: Grant, Suzanne, Cal, Robert and Dallin Huff in Arizona, Malaina and Justin Huff in Michigan, and Audrey Huff in Oregon.
Sam is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in the church in various auxiliaries throughout his life. Sam’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ has guided him throughout his life. He tried to live and forgive others as the Savior did.
A viewing will be held 10:00 am to noon Saturday, April 10, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (4141 NW Harrison, Corvallis). All are welcome. Sam will be buried in the Spanish Fork Cemetery in Spanish Fork, Utah.
