Clara J. Palmer, 94, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday. She was born June 28, 1915 to Jacob and Caroline (Johnson) Reimer in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Clara met her husband, Joe Palmer, through family and friends and church activities. They moved to Ceres, California in 1950. Joe worked for the highway department as a heavy construction operator, and the couple traveled for work. They moved to Oregon in 1968 and rented a house in Sweet Home before buying farm property outside of Lebanon. After Joe passed away, Clara continued on with the farm for 25 years before moving to Sweet Home in 2009.
Clara is survived by: her daughter, Judy (Ray) Smith of Vancouver, WA; grandson, David (Lori) Smith of Perris, CA; sisters, Freida Wiens and Eva Weahunt, both of Chico, CA.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe in 1983; sister, Matilda Lepp; and brother, Ed Reimer.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday, May 28, at the Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
