Leola Dora Zimmer was one of twelve children born to Thomas J. and Dora Parker. She was born in Cotesfield, Nebraska April 7, 1912.
At a very young age, Leola's family moved to Elm Creek and then to Overton, Nebraska. Leola graduated from North Platte, Nebraska in 1930.
On December 12, 1932, she married John T. Zimmer in Ogallala, Nebraska. They moved to Oregon in 1942, and to Sweet Home in 1972. John was a carpenter. He passed away February 12, 1978.
Leola was a long time member of Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
Leola leaves many nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Funeral services will take place 2:00 pm Saturday at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Leola will be buried in Gilliland Cemetery beside her husband, John Zimmer.
