Kenneth Robert Heinz, 78, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday November 13, 2010. He was born in Buffalo, New York to Arthur John and Elizabeth (Bartz) Heinz.
He lived in Buffalo, New York until 1959, then moved to Buena Park, Cypress and Elsinor, California, and finally Sweet Home, Oregon in 1990. He was a transmission specialist.
Kenneth was baptized a Jehovah’s Witness in 1971. He enjoyed collecting old cars, starting transmission shops, and helping others. He was devoted to his church.
Kenneth is survived by: his wife, Sarah Heinz of Sweet Home; children, Kenneth and his wife Lori Heinz of Salem, Darlene and her husband James Kenneth Pierce of Highland, Utah, Daniel Heinz of Glendale, Arizona, David Heinz and Dale Heinz of Elsinor, California, Donald and his wife LInda Heinz of Sweet Home, Sally Heinz and her husband Murray of Anza, California, and Scott Heinz of Sweet Home; sisters, Ruth Danglis and Joan Majer; brother, Carl Heinz; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Heinz of Bakersfield, California, and brothers, Richard Heinz of Yucca, California and Aurthur Heinz of Sun City, Arizona.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 20, at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall on Main Street in Sweet Home, Oregon.
