Jewell McIlmoil, 88, of Brownsville passed away Saturday. She was born in Ogden, Utah to George D. and Jacoba (Debry) Dalton.
Jewell lived in: Japan from 1956 to 1958; China Lake, California from 1958 to 1962; Escondido, California from 1962 to 1970; Oxnard, California and Camarillo, California from 1970 to 2005.
She was married to John H. McIlmoil for 68 years. They moved to Brownsville in 2007. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a homemaker, volunteer, and teacher. She enjoyed ceramics, flowers, and horses.
Jewell is survived by: children, John W. McIlmoil of Albany, Cinda Brough of Thousand Oaks, California, Diana Short of Brownsville, and Carol Hardy of Madison, Alabama; sister, Elizabeth Ceasar of Mountlake Terrace, Washington; and 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. McIlmoil in March of 2011.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Brownsville. Final burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
