David Albert Ross, 66, of Sweet Home passed away Friday. He was born in Eugene to Donald Matthew and Doris Eileen (Pittman) Ross.
David lived in Corvallis, Salem, Lebanon, and Albany before settling in Sweet Home. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1973. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
David enjoyed making ceramics, lifting weights, and fishing.
He is survived by: his siblings, Eva Wilkinson and Stephen Ross of Sweet Home, Karen Russell of Wilsonville, Faith Ross and John Ross of Albany, and Ruth Ann Ross and Jesse Ross of Corvallis. David was preceded in death by siblings, Rick Ross (2008), Deborah Ross (2009), and Hope Tuomi (2007).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1155 22nd Avenue, Sweet Home. Final interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
