James "Jim" Elwin Mosher
November 26, 1927–March 27, 2019

Jim Mosher, 91, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, March 27. He was born in Sedro Woolley, Washington to William and Laura (Watts) Mosher.  He lived in Sedro Wooley until he was 14 years old, at which time the family moved to Sweet Home, where he lived most of the rest of his life. 

Jim graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1945, and then enlisted and served in the United States Navy until 1949.

Jim married Geraldine Graves in Vancouver, Washington on December 23, 1946. After his time was up in the service, he came back to Sweet Home and worked, first, for Santiam Mill, and then, eventually, at Midway Building Supply where he retired after about 40 years.

Jim enjoyed bowling, basketball, gardening, playing golf, and woodworking, especially building furniture.

He is survived by his children, Allan Mosher of Silver Springs, Nevada, Linda McNelly of Philomath, and Patty Dale of Sweet Home; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his daughters, Joyce Wells and JoAnn Gifford; his sisters, Wilma Smith, Eleanor Lindsay, Laura LaVern Mundorf, and Delores Cesna; and brothers, William and Eugene Mosher.

A memorial service has been planned for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 4, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel; 1443 Long Street.
