She then became a Para-educator in special education for seven years. She married Lawrence Richmond in 2004 and they settled in Sweet Home that same year.

Jan enjoyed painting, gardening, traveling in "the bus” (motorhome) and meals and outings with friends and family. She enjoyed attending church at local fellowships, most recent at Valley Life Church in Lebanon.

Jan is survived by her husband, Lawrence Richmond, of Sweet Home; daughters: Carrie Coppini of Ferndale, CA and Julie Rhee of Spanaway, WA; 12 Grandchildren; 26 Great grandchildren; some siblings and multitudes of nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Gray in 1985; son, Paul Gray in 2008 and daughter, Laurie Gash in 2020.
